Stunning example vintage Vacheron and Constantin 18K yellow gold dress model circa 1950’s. Featuring a 34 x 42mm case curved and extended lugs and with a beautiful original two tone gold and silver dial with center guilloche pattern, a mixture of stick and arabic numerals, and gold stick hands. The dial is further distinguished by the atypical placement of the seconds “pearls” surrounding the inner “bull’s eye” of the dial rather than at the outer perimeter of the dial. The sweep seconds hand is necessarily shortened to read the seconds accordingly.

While many Vacheron watches from this era are known to have interesting, sometimes bordering on eccentric, lugs, these particularly stand out. They are narrow from a top view, but widen out in a stunning sweeping fashion, with a deep curve in the middle. This beautiful Vacheron is powered by the caliber 1002 manual wind movement with sweep second hand.
