Tudor Heritage Black Bay Blue ref 79220 circa 2015

Tudor Heritage Black Bay Blue, ref 79220. Featuring 41mm stainless steel case with unidirectional elapsed time bezel, in a beautiful dark blue. Released in 2014 this ETA caliber run Black Bay was only in production for two short years before it was replaced by the in-house movement version. The dial is an extremely pleasing matte black, with white gold surrounded luminova markers and hands, also with stunning silver printing. This particular Black Bay is worn on its original 95740 Oyster style bracelet, and features an oversized rose logo adorned crown.

The Black Bay models have a lot to do with the heightened world interest in the Tudor brand and we feel it is safe to say that a watch like this will one day be seen as a massive milestone in the life of Tudor as a brand. And to own one with such a short lifespan, like this ETA powered Blue, is something truly special.

In excellent mechanical condition and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate timekeeping and operation. The watch has been previously polished. Unfortunately the original owner did not retain the box or papers. The watch is also accompanied by one of our beautiful handmade Italian leather watch travel pouches, a $45 value!

Vintage Tudor - Pre-Owned & Used Tudor Watches

All of our vintage Tudor and pre-owned Tudor watches are fully restored and guaranteed genuine to give you excellent service and piece of mind. Montres Tudor (SA) has designed, manufactured and marketed Tudor watches since 6 March 1946. Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf conceived of the Tudor Watch Company to create a product for authorized Rolex dealers to sell that offered the reliability and dependability of a Rolex, but at a lower price. The number of Rolex watches was limited by the rate that they could produce in-house Rolex movements, thus Tudor watches were originally equipped with off-the-shelf movements while using similar quality cases and bracelets.
