Stunning example Rolex 18K YG Submariner ref 1680 serial #5.0 million circa 1977 with exotic natural color change dial. Featuring 40 mm diameter case with bi-directional elapsed time bezel with blue insert, acrylic crystal, and gorgeous and distinctive color change dial. The dial has evolved naturally from the original cobalt blue to it’s current chocolate bronze color. The color is even throughout not uneven or zoned like some tropical dials.
The watch is powered by calibre 1570 self winding movement with sweep seconds and date. With original Rolex 18K YG Submariner bracelet with flip lock clasp. The clasp shows some wear on the inside stampings, but the raised crown logo remains intact and not worn down. Scarce and striking model. A unqiue Sub with an especially beautiful tropical dial.
