A fine condition example vintage Rolex Double Red Sea-Dweller ref 1665 serial # 4.0 million circa 1975. Featuring a beautiful condition original matte black Mk IV dial with ivory luminous indexes and matching hands and with the name sake Sea-Dweller Submariner 2000 printed in red.

Featuring a beefy lug, previously polished 40 mm diameter case with bi-directional elapsed time bezel, acrylic  crystal, and lightly faded bezel insert, and correct for the era, trip lock crown. Powered by self winding caliber 1570 movement with sweep seconds and date. With correct and original silvered date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.

Fitted with a more recent ref# 93150 Submariner bracelet with 593 end pieces and flip lock deployment clasp with letter P3 date code. The bracelet is in fine condition with little stretch.

The case back bears the correct engraved ROLEX in a straight (not curved) line, and correctly bears the entire case serial # engraved on the inside case back. The case back is clean and the threads are not chewed up from improper opening. The case is free of any corrosion. See photos.

The dial is a fine condition Mark IV version. The dial retains its matte black surface, and is free of abrasions, drag marks, scratches, oil stains, or loss of the minute hash mark print often seen on Red Submariner and DRSD models. The white and red printing are all bright and distinct. There is no fading of the red print. The lume plots are completely intact, all original and unrestored and a light ivory color. The hands likewise are original with unrestored lume that matches the tone of the dial indexes. The bezel insert has a replacement pearl.
