Rare Jaeger Lecoultre Polaris II Diver’s Memovox Alarm circa 1970s

SOLD

Rare Jaeger Lecoultre Stainless Steel Polaris II circa 1970s. This is a large and scarce diver’s model, more typically found with turquoise blue bezel and dial. The current example features rich and beautiful dark cranberry colors with contrasting antique luminous indexes and hands. Self winding movement with sweep seconds and date. Signed JLC crowns for setting the date and time and the alarm function. Original JLC signed NSA bracelet with folding clasp. An exceptionally beautiful and striking looking model. Substantial and eye catching color, design, and lume, makes a very big impact on the wrist. Excellent condition piece. Note some very minor scratches on mineral glass crystal which do not detract from this impressive piece.

Brand

Vintage and Modern Jaeger Lecoultre

Vintage Jaeger Lecoultre, or Jaeger Lecoultre as it is referred to in Europe is a fine Swiss brand which has seen a great revival in recent years. While not recognized in the same class as Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, or Vacheron & Constantin, Lecoultre nevertheless is distinguished by high quality, great attention to design, and a number of noteworthy and exclusive features including Memovox Alarm models, the Reverso first introduced in the 1930’s for Polo players, the Power Reserve Futurmatic, as well as sporty chronographs and diver’s models for the sportsman. Vintage Lecoultre dress models include some of the most elaborate and sought after of case designs and dial treatments. We are strong advocates of the Lecoultre brand and feature the most desirable models from their many decades of wrist watch production.
