Omega Speedmaster Premoon ref 145.022-69 calibre 861 circa 1969

Transitional model Omega Speedmaster pre Man on the Moon model, ref 145.022-69. Movement serial # of 30.5 million dates this example to 1969. This is the transitional model powered by caliber 861 manual wind movement as apposed to the now discontinued caliber 321, with original matte black stepped dial with painited Omega logo, with patina’d luminous indexes, and hands The 42mm stainless steel case is as perfect an example as we have ever seen. It shows no signs at all of polishing, remarkable for a watch nearly 50 years old. The trademark twisted lugs are sharp and angled, the original bracelet shows minimal stretch, and the original dot over 90 (DON) bezel is nearly flawless. The caseback features the Hippocampus, the word “Speedmaster” and the Omega sign, this being the last time the Speedmaster sees no mention of the the famous moon landing that happens later this same year. Very pleasing example, recently fully serviced. Offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation.
