An exceptionally mint condition and stunning Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, ref 145.022-76 serial #39 million circa 1979. Featuring a mint condition and unpolished 42mm stainless steel case with black 500 mph tachometer bezel and Omega logo acrylic crystal. You can certainly find less expensive examples of this model, but you will be hard pressed to find another as pristine and very little worn, or with such a stunning original matte black stepped dial with richly patina’d tritium indexes and hands. Case back features deeply engraved Seamonster logo and “Flight Qualified by NASA for All Manned Space Missions, The First Watch Worn on the Moon.” Complete with original oval link Omega ref 1171 bracelet with 633 end pieces also in mint, barely worn condition. While the case reference # suggests the watch may be from 1976, the 39 million serial # dating the watch to circa 1979 which was the last year of production of this particular 4 year sub-reference.
