An extremely fine condition example vintage Omega Speedmaster ref 145.022 circa 1976. Featuring a 42mm diameter case with very good condition “dot next to 90” tachometer bezel, Omega logo acrylic crystal and extremely nice condition original matte black dial with pleasing evenly patina’d bone color luminous indexes and patina’d luminous hands. Caseback features deeply engraved Hippocampus logo and “Flight Qualified by NASA for All Manned Space Missions, The First Watch Worn on the Moon.” Powered by calibre 861 movement serial # 39.18 million which dates the model to 1976.

An extremely nice example early Man on Moon model that has been fully serviced and is in excellent condition for timekeeping and operation of the chronograph functions. The dial surface is without scratches, dings, or oil spots, and the luminous appear to be fully intact and not degraded, and have aged a very pleasing “bone” color. Condition trumps all in vintage watches, including Speedmasters of course, and we think this is an exceptionally well preserved and pleasing example.
