Vintage Omega Seamaster ref 2576-12. 34mm stainless steel case with screw down back and signed crown. With patinated silver original dial with gold triangular indexes and gold mirror printed 12/3/9. Powered by caliber 342 17 jewel bump automatic movement with subsidiary seconds. Movement serial # of 12.1 million dates this model to 1951.

The case back of this watch tells a very interesting story about the owner of this watch and his service to the U.S. during the Korean War.  The watch was given to honor John W. Gandy by the crew of the S.S. Burco Trader in 1951. As part a large fleet of Merchant Marine vessels, the Burco Trader transported vital supplies, arms, equipment and troops  during the Korean war.
