Longines Super Compressor Diver’s ref 7150-1 with Archive circa 1961


An exceptional condition example vintage Longines stainless steel Super Compressor ref# 7150-1 circa 1961. This is the original vintage oversized diver’s model featuring a 42mm diameter case with 53mm heavy extended lugs, with gorgeous original gloss black dial with patina’d gilt numerals and indexes, oversized luminous hands, and with rotating inner elapsed time bezel. With 2 large cross hatched crowns, the lower to set the time, and the upper to control the inner elapsed time bezel.

Powered by self winding Longines caliber 290 movement with sweep seconds. The domed case back features a deeply embossed skin diver wearing SCUBA gear and carrying a spear gun. An exceptional condition example in all respects, the gloss dial surface, original “lume” on the dial and hands, and a very sharp condition, unpolished case.

Offered on a vintage style distressed leather 22mm strap of your choice. A truly great collectible vintage model. Recently fully serviced by one of our veteran watchmakers, and accompanied by one of our beautiful handmade Italian leather watch travel pouches, a $55 value!

Notes: The vintage model, like the first generation of the reissue model was without a date feature.The archive confirms this watch was sold to Longines Wittnauer, the U.S.agent for Longines in 1961. We have owned a number of great examples of this model over the last several years, and the current example is ceraintly among the finest we have had the pleasure to have offered.
