A distinctive military influenced design vintage Longines calatrava model ref # 22885 circa 1944. Featuring a substantial 32 x 41mm case with heavy snap down case back and beefy serpentine lugs.
Featuring a rich looking original tropical dial with oversize radium lume numbers and oversize pencil shaped hands. The dial features a sloped perimeter minute track and an extra long sweep seconds hand. Additionally the inner 24 hour minutes suggesting that this watch was either intended for military use, or was so inspired for civilian or aviation use.
This attractive model is powered by the Longines calibre 12L manual wind movement with sweep center seconds. With oversize original crown for ease of operation in adverse climate or when wearing gloves. In excellent operating condition and fitted with your choice of sporty leather 15mm strap.
