Longines 14K WG Diamond Set circa 1950’s

Vintage 1950’s 14K white gold man’s Longines manual wind dress model with distinctive heavy T-bar lugs, and with original silver satin diamond set dial. Featuring a 29mm case with wide, diamond set T-bar lugs, acrylic crystal, and original silver satin diamond set dial with applied silver indexes and silver dauphine hands.

Powered by a manual wind movement with subsidiary seconds, and no date. Fully serviced and offered on your choice of dressy or sporty strap and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation.

This is one of many distinctive dress models offered by Longines during the 1950’s and early 1960’s. We see many examples of Swiss models produced in white gold during this era, many set with diamonds. Think of the Lecoultre Mystery Dials. Clearly, these were intended to be dressy, “tuxedo” watches, to be worn on formal or dress up occasions. In our current world of more casual fashion, a model like this is suitable with any wardrobe, and is particularly suited to complement a woman’s wardrobe.

Judging from the dimensions alone, the size seems like it would never work for a man today, but the large bar lugs add impressive stature to the watch make it a candidate for a man or woman’s wrist. A great looking man’s model for a woman, with jeans or business attire.
