Lange & Söhne Beobachtungsuhr (B-uhr) massive 55mm Observer’s watch from WWII. Produced in limited quantities for the German Luftwaffe and more commonly seen produced by Laco, Stowa, and Wempe. This type B dial Lange model is surpassed in scarcity and value only by the IWC produced version of this watch. The current example features a beautiful condition type B dial which features an inner 12 hour with intact luminous dots, and outer minutes track and large kite shaped luminous hands. Powered by 18 jewel gilt Caliber 48/1 hacking movement with sweep seconds. With original oversized onion style crown. Shown with recent 26mm NATO style strap. Recently serviced and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate timekeeping and operation. An impressive time piece albeit from a terrible time in history.
