The 70’s era Lecoultre alarms are a dramatic and generally less known modernist departure from the classic round case designs of the 1960’s and 1970’s. This thick TV screen shaped case is a favorite of this writer, particularly this charcoal and orange version. It is common to see spotting, fading, or deterioration of the dial surface on these models. The current example is in remarkable condition with deeply saturated charcoal grey and orange colors.
