Hamilton “Lynwood” Curvex 14K Gold Filled circa 1939

Vintage man’s Hamilton 14K YGF curvex style “Lynwood” circa 1939. Perhaps the longest and best designed “curvex” style art deco era case from America’s premier manufacturer of fine wristwatches. This model features elongated 22 x 43mm tonneau shaped case with distinctive and stylish stepped sides that extend well beyond the dial and gracefully  contour to the wrist. With newly hand cut glass crystal, and original “Butler” matte silver dial with applied 18K YG Breguet style arabic indexes, applied gold star index at 6 o’clock, and tapered gilt hands. Powered by 14-0 size 17 jewel manual wind caliber 982 movement with subsidiary seconds.

It is common for this model to show a lot of wear to the tops of the lugs, and particularly to the tips of the lugs on the case back. This current example shows very little wear to the case and in all respects is an exceptionally well preserved example of this classic and popular model. Prior owner’s initials nicely hand engraved on caseback. Recently serviced and offered with our 1 year warrantee of accurate time keeping and operation. Your purchase includes our popular fine leather watch pouch, great for travel or storage.
