A handsome gentleman’s 18K YG Ebel 1911 automatic chronograph featuring the classic Zenith El Primero movement. A handsome, now retro model, featuring a distinctive softly sculpted 38 x 42mm case with exposed bezel screws that defined Ebel’s design aesthetic of the era..

The crisp white dial features applied gold Roman numerals, three recessed chronograph registers, outer tachymeter scale and discreet date aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. The balanced tri-compax layout and thin gold detailing give this substantial sports chronograph an unusually elegant appearance.

Powered by the celebrated high-beat automatic caliber 400, based on Zenith’s legendary El Primero chronograph movement. Ebel was among the important brands responsible for bringing the El Primero back into prominence during the 1980s, several years before its use in the first generation of automatic Rolex Daytonas. These early Ebel chronographs are increasingly appreciated by collectors as distinctive and still relatively undervalued examples of neo-vintage Swiss watchmaking.

Presented on its original brown ostrich strap with matching 18k yellow gold Ebel folding deployant buckle, and accompanied by both inner and outer Ebel boxes. There are no papers.
