Very cool U.S. military issue Bulova A17A Navigator wristwatch, produced to military specification MIL-W-6433A and retaining its fully marked U.S. Property case back.
Featuring a brushed non-reflective case with matte black military dial, luminous Arabic numerals and luminous filled hands, outer seconds track and sweep seconds. The dial and hands have developed a very pleasing warm patina, giving this utilitarian military watch great vintage character.
The case back is extensively military marked: “WATCH NAVIG. TYPE A17A,” specification MIL-W-6433A, Bulova part no. 10BNCH, serial #21232, military order number DA-36-038-ORD-20328, stock no. 8TAA-993000-24 and U.S. PROPERTY.
Powered by the Bulova caliber 10BNCH manual wind hacking movement, designed to allow precise synchronization for military navigation use.
Fitted on vintage style olive drab canvas strap.
An exceptional condition example of this military issue navigator watches of the period, with especially appealing patina and full military case back markings.

We have found military US Government issued models from WWII and the Korean and Vietnam war era continue to be popular among collectors.
