Bulova 12-S Open Face Pendant Pocketwatch circa 1940’s

Great looking and unusual YGF Bulova 12 size open face pocket watch circa 1940’s. Featuring a 45mm diameter case with beautiful original salmon dial with black printed Breguet style figures, and blued steel gothic style hands. Powered by 17 jewel manual wind movement with subsidiary seconds.

Obvious in the photos is the very unusual configuration of the bow and crown. The watch is configured “upside down,”  designed to face the holder when removed from the vest or pants pocket. This “pendant style configuration is more often seen in small lady and nurse’s pendant watches, worn on a jacket, or uniform to facilitate reading the time or taking a patient’s pulse, but quite uncommon in a man’s pocket watch.

A great looking vintage model recently serviced and with lightly detailed case. Offered with our 1 year warrantee of accurate time keeping and operation. Includes vintage pocket watch chain shown in photo.
