Very nice condition example vintage Breitling AVI  ref# 765 CP aviator’s chronograph, case serial # 1.015 million circa 1967. Featuring a 41mm diameter case with screw down case back, round pushers, signed Breitling crown, stainless steel rotating bezel with shallow engraved hour designations. Bezel clicks with each 1 hour adjustment. With very nice condition matte black original dial with oversized white registers, luminous bar hour markers, luminous 15 minute register hand at 3 o’clock, and arrow tipped chrono runner hand. Dial shows some loss of luminous, but dial remains pleasing and attractive. Luminous hands have been nicely restored to match the dial, yet appear original. Screw down caseback marked 765 and AVI in large engraved font.

This model is much rarer than the more well known Navitimer model. Early versions of the co-pilot came with a black bakelite hours bezel,  and then this next, very rare, generation with steel hours bezel,  Like the navitimer, this model is powered by the Venus 178 caliber movement.
