Rolex Stainless Steel Explorer II ref 1655 serial #5.4 million circa 1978. So called “Steve Mcqueen” model. 40mm diameter Oyster case with unpolished SS 24 hour bezel. Beautiful matte black dial with lightly patina’d luminous indexes and faded orange 24 hour hand. Powered by self winding movement with sweep seconds and date and 24 hour indications. On Rolex SS heavy Oyster link bracelet with deployment clasp. The bezel on this example is very sharp and unpolished, and it is our opinion that the case as well may have never been polished. (currently being serviced)
