A very cool and distinctive looking tropical dial Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref #1501 circa 1962. Featuring a 34mm diameter case with smooth bezel and acrylic crystal. This is an early model with elongated dagger shaped indexes, tapered hands and with early SWISS signature. We have fitted the watch with a non cyclops crystal to enhance the unique characteristics of the dial. Fitted with a fine leather strap for a great sporty vintage look.
This early Rolex is powered by caliber 1565 self winding movement with sweep seconds and date. Recently fully serviced and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. A great looking vintage man’s model or oversized for a woman.

NOTE: The 1501 reference refers to a model with an engine turned bezel. As the current bezel is smooth, we have to surmise that the original bezel was turned down on a lathe, or else switched out with a smooth bezel.
