A rare and fabulous Cartier 18K YG “Driver” model ref 2270 circa 2000. This unusual rectangular case model features a concealed folding deployant clasp that hinges open and closed from the underside of the case, and is integrated into the design of the watch. This is a limited edition model, #145 of 150 pieces from the CPCP collection and is complete with the red Cartier box, warranty certificate and portfolio purchased from the Cartier boutique in Valencia, Spain in 2000.

The watch features a unique stacked coin design, with the folding deployant clasp integrated into the design and unnoticeable when closed. No clasp is evident on the wrist, only the seamless Cartier signed crocodile strap. This is a medium size case measuring 24 x 38mm and is operated by a battery powered quartz calibefr 157.06 movement.

The dial is a matte silver with a center guilloche pattern, black Roman figures, Cartier secret signature, blue steel hands, and with red spinel cabachon crown. There were 3 dial variations for this model, and Arabic dial, a dial with Roman 3/6/9, and the current example, which we think is by far the most classic and best looking variation, with all Roman figures.

The watch, dial, crystal, strap and all accessories are in very fine condition. The case back bears the 150th anniversay “I Love Cartier“ heart design, as does the box and portfolio. See photos.

We think this is a very special watch worthy of any collection and any wrist. A man’s medium size model but a size that is also ideal for a woman’s wrist.
