Cartier man’s vermeil Tank Louis circa 1970’s. Featuring a 23 X 31mm case secured by 4 side screws. Featuring original scarce chocolate brown color dial signed Must de Cartier and with Cartier double C logo, gilt hands, and with blue cabochon sapphire crown.
Powered by 17 jewel manual wind movement. Scarce version of classic man’s tank in excellent condition. Recently serviced and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate timekeeping and operation. Fitted with an unsigned lizard grain strap and generic tang buckle.
The solid color dials of the 1970’s and 1980’s often show crazing, or spidering of the dial surface, associated with contraction of the paint over time. The current example is an exception to that rule showing no degradation of the gloss brown surface of the dial. These early models were all manual wind, with the battery powered quartz models following in the 1990’s and after.
