Zelma, Swiss made super compressor diver’s model circa 1960’s. Featuring a 36mm x 43mm case with screw down case back and narrow black outer rotating elapsed time bezel controlled by 2nd crown at 2 o’clock. Featuring an unusual silvered gray dial with luminous 1/4 hours 12/3/6/9 and a combination of triangular and square luminous indexes for each of the hour marks. With striking arrow head broad arrow hour hand and sword shaped minute hand. With original cross hatched crowns, the bottom to manually wind and set the time, and the upper crown to set the inner elapsed time bezel.

Powered by self winding A Schild calibre 1902/03 movement with sweep seconds and date. Case back reads Plongeurs Super Compressor Automatic case ref 6364-1. Fully serviced and comes with our 1 year warranty. Offered on your choice of sporty leather, rubber, or NATO style strap. Great looking vintage diver’s model.

Super Compressor models like the current model were designed as professional diver’s watches, were offered by dozens of companies, with a variety of dial configurations and pallets, but all with case built by E. Piquerez S.A. (EPSA) who supplied the cases to a myriad of companies. The most well known, and most valuable were those of  Longines and  Lecoultre, All the Super Compressors are cool looking sporty models. We haven’t met a Super Compressor yet that we didn’t like!
