Vintage Rolex Daytona ref 6265 serial # 7.4 million circa 1982 with black tachometer bezel usually associated with reference # 6264. Very desirable so called “Big Red” model with original black dial with red Daytona printing in large font. This reference 6265 model is distinguished by screw down chronograph pushers, black lacquer tachometer bezel, original matte black dial with contrasting white registers and big Red Daytona printing. A very nice condition example, with beefy lugs, excellent condition bakelite tachometer bezel, and very pleasing original dial. Powered by calibre 727 manual wind movement, with Rolex heavy Oyster 93150 bracelet with Daytona correct 571 end pieces.

NOTE: The 6265 reference is typically associated with a steel tachometer bezel. The watch is being offered with the shown bakelite bezel, which the owner advises us was purchased by him like this, and which he has had for at least 20 years. The caseback of this watch is marked 6263, but the identifier for the model is the 6265 between the lugs. Caseback #s on vintage Daytonas commonly do not match the reference #.
