A beautiful modern Tudor, pulling on aesthetics and design from the brand’s military dive watches of the 60’s and 70’s. The Tudor Pelagos LHD is a numbered run of 42mm, titanium dive watches, where the crown has been switched to the left side of the watch, otherwise known as “destro”. The titanium case features incredibly strong edges, with wonderful, thick beveling on the lugs, all in a rugged satin finish that helps make this the perfect everyday companion. The caseback features its own unique number, a first in Tudors history, with this particular example being N*3713. The dial of the LHD is a beautiful matte black, with stunning “Macchiato” colored hour markers, snowflake hands, and timing bezel. Every marker on both the dial and the bezel are luminescent.
This Pelagos is accompanied by both its original rubber strap, and it’s very special original bracelet. Hidden inside the folding clasp is a micro-adjustment system with three positions, but the clasp is also mounted on a “floating” spring carriage that lets it adjust automatically for pressure changes. The watch comes with its box and papers, and is even still wearing its caseback sticker from the factory.
Destined to be a classic for so many reasons, this is a piece that is perfect for the vintage collector, and modern watch lover alike.
