A scarce early example vintage Rolex Turn-O-Graph ref# 1625 stainless steel case with 14K WG rotating elapsed time bezel circa 1961. Featuring a 36mm diameter full size man’s model with 14K WG rotating elapse time bezel with high relief numbers, acrylic crystal and original early matte silver pie pan, SWISS only dial, with tapered hour indexes, tapered alpha hands.
Powered by calibre 1560 self winding movement with sweep seconds and date, and with case back date code of II/61. Offered with period rolled link bracelet. The watch has been serviced by one of our veteran watchmakers, is in excellent operating condition, and is offered with our 1 year warranty if accurate time keeping and operation.
While we are not so keen on the sapphire crystal Turn-O-Graphs, or even the acrylic crystal models with simple baton indexes and hands, and shallow engraved bezels, this early example with its distinctive features changes all of that for us. A scarce and early example with its own distinctive character will be a significant addition to any vintage Rolex collection.
Note that we have selected a tropic 36 crystal without the cyclops date magnifying window to view the dial without the distraction of the cyclops date magnifier.
Your watch purchase will arrive in our fine glazed leather WBAW? watch pouch. Ideal for travel or storage, a $65 retail value!
