A very pleasing example “meters first” vintage Rolex stainless steel no date Submariner ref 5513 complete with original Rolex warranty papers. Featuring a 40mm diameter case with bi-directional elapsed time bezel, domed acrylic crystal. With very pleasing original matte black “meters first” dial with nicely patina’d ivory color puffy lume tritium plots and matching hands. With an especially pleasing faded to gray elapsed time insert, and aged pip. The movement serial # of 1.73 million dates production of this watch to 1967, with the papers showing a date of sale of 1968. So if you’re looking for a birth year sub, this watch will cover either of those years!

This is a very pleasing example meters first no date Submariner The case is previously polished, but retains its beefy lugs. The case shows no corrosion and the case reference # and serial #s are all sharp and distinct. The case back threads are sharp and neither worn down or damaged. Overall a very nice example and thousands of dollars less than this watch would have been priced just a few short years ago!
