Rolex Submariner ref# 5508, so called “Small Crown”. An early and very desirable no crown guard member of the Submariner family, serial number of 489,xxx, circa 1959. With an original and especially beautiful richly aged tropical 2 color gilt printed dial with aged luminous indexes and hands. The 100m = 330 feet depth rating is printed in silver, while the ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL and SUBMARINER are printed in gilt
The original black bezel has aged beautifully to a to pale gray-blue color and appears to match the age of the case and dial and we believe is original to this model.
Powered by caliber 1530 nickel finished self winding movement with sweep seconds. Fitted with an especially fine condition riveted link stretch bracelet with #64 endpieces and with date code of the clasp of 3/60 which stands for the 3rd quarter of 1960.
In excellent operating condition. Of course guaranteed genuine and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. No longer warranted for water resistance.
