Rolex SS Submariner ref 5513 serial# 1.1 million circa 1964. Great looking original glossy black gilt Swiss T<25 dial with original beautifully patina’d luminous indexes and silver patina’d luminous hands. Normally when when we come across a 5513 it is fitted with the far more common matte dial. These early gilt dials are extremely rare have a look all their own. The dial on this example does show some wear from its decades of use, with some light chipping. This Sub also features a beautiful black elapsed time bezel that over the years has taken on a beautiful dark blue tone. The watch is powered by self winding calibre 1520 movement with sweep seconds.
