A great looking example transitional model Rolex GMT ref 16750 circa 1985 with great vintage character. Featuring a robust, possibly unpolished case with beautifully patina’d luminous dial indexes and matching tritium lume hands. With an all black insert, and original 78360 heavy Oyster Oyster bracelet with 580 end pieces and correct I10 date code deployant clasp.
An especially attractive example, with perfect condition dial surface free of hand drag, oil stains, spidering, spotting, or any detractions, and with especially pleasing patina’d untouched lume plots and hands. While the Pepsi bezels seem to be the most popular version of the vintage GMT, the all black insert on this example looks terrific against the aged lume plots and is a bit less familiar look for this era model. This is an example of models we celebrate. Desirable, and popular collector models, in great condition and with terrific eye appeal.
This is the short lived transitional model introduced in 1981 that followed production of the 1675 GMT model but with an upgraded quickset 3075 movement and with acrylic crystal. When the GMT II model was introduced in 1989, with independently set hour hand, the 16750 model was then fitted with a sapphire crystal, and renamed the GMT 1 with ref 16700. The earliest example model 16750’s continued the matte finish dial as seen on the 1675s, while later models like the current example feature a gloss black dial with white gold lume plot surrounds.
The current example is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. Recently fully serviced, guaranteed genuine and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. Your watch purchase includes one of our fine signature leather watch pouches, great for storage and travel, a $65.00 value.
