Rolex GMT ref 16750 Pepsi “Frozen” Tritium Dial circa 1987

Rolex stainless steel GMT ref 16750 R6 serial # circa 1987. Featuring 39.5mm diameter case with acrylic crystal and red and blue “Pepsi” 24 hour bezel, and gloss black tritium lume dial with white gold luminous surrounds and patina’d cream color luminous indexes and closely matching hands. As we see often on the early gloss sport models, a defect in the paint has produced a “frozen” appearance to the surface of the gloss dial, with a shall, irregular crystalized texture. The dial retains its glossy appearance and all printing is intact and sharp.

The watch case retains its beefy lugs and the original chamfers on the edges of the lugs are visible. The walls of the watch case appear to be unpolished and retain the original frosty factory finish.

The 16750 is powered by self winding caliber 3075 movement with sweep seconds and quick set date and fitted with the original Rolex stainless 78360 Oyster bracelet and 580 end links and L10 date code.

This is a desirable and great looking vintage model, with nicely aged luminous, and characteristic “frozen” dial. This model bridges the gap between the plastic crystal vintage 1675 and the more contemporary sapphire crystal GMT 1 or GMT 2 models. Guaranteed genuine and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. Reserve it now before it is going, going, gone!!!
