An early, and fine condition example Rolex Datejust model ref 6605 circa 1956. Featuring a 36mm diameter case with fine milled 14K WG bezel, acrylic crystal, and original aged and patina’d dial. The dial is properly signed SWISS designating radium as the luminous material. The dial features small font printing, tapered dagger shaped silver indexes and dauphine hands and darkened lume plots. With the red and black alternating “roulette” date wheel, unique to this era.
The case back bears the date code of IV/56 which places production of this model to the 4th quarter of 1956. Fitted with period rolled link Jubilee bracelet with original early logo clasp.
Powered by self winding chronometer rated 25 jewel calibre 1065 self winding movement with sweep seconds and date. Recently serviced and in excellent operating condition. Offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation, but of course not guaranteed water resistant due to the age of this watch.
