A lovely example vintage Rolex stainless steel Daytona ref 6265 serial # 4.1 million circa 1976. Featuring a 36mm diameter Oyster case with original (not service replacement) screw down chronograph pushers, original 50-200 mph tachometer bezel, and with very pleasing original matte black “Big Red” Daytona dial with contrasting white registers with patina’d tritium lume plots and original tritium lume hands.
Powered by calibre 727 manual wind movement which has just been fully serviced. With trip lock Rolex screw down crown. With Rolex stainless steel heavy Oyster 78350 bracelet with 557 end pieces in excellent condition.
This is a very pleasing condition example with especially beefy lugs with intact champfers which have neither been heavily worn or polished. With an especially sharp and unpolished steel tachometer bezel without dings or scratches, and retaining all the original blackened fonts and with no loss of detail around the outside edges.
With rich and saturated black dial with heavy font big red DAYTONA printing. Note some aging and light spotting of the white sub registers, more notable of course in the high resolution photos than in person. Still visible to the naked eye but the dial retains a stong and impressive appearance. The lume plots remain puffy, warmly patina’d and fully intact with the sole exception of the #9 plot which has lost the dome of the lume plot but the residual of the lume plot remains. The lume of the hands match the lume of the dial. The hands are clean, shiny and not scratched or corroded. Similarly the applied dial markers are clean and shiny and not corroded.
Guaranteed genuine, recently fully serviced by our Rolex trained watchmaker, and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. A very pleasing and we think well priced example of this iconic vintage Rolex Daytona model.
