“Poor Man’s” Paul Newman Rolex Daytona ref 6239 circa 1965

Are you short a cool quarter million but have always wanted a Paul Newman Daytona? Look no further than this beautiful Rolex Daytona ref. 6239, fitted with a custom aftermarket exotic, Paul Newman dial. This is a genuine vintage Rolex Daytona 1.1 million serial number circa 1965, which includes 2 dials. One, a genuine Rolex service dial shown in the last photo, and the aftermarket exotic Paul Newman dial described here and featured in the photos. An extremely nice condition early “plunger” pusher model with heavy beefy lugs, and steel 200 mph calibrations bezel, recently serviced and guaranteed genuine save for the custom Paul Newman dial.

Not only do you get to wear as close to an original Paul Newman as one could get, but you get to wear as close to THE original Paul Newman as one could get. The man himself wore a 6239 reference just like this one, and his exotic dial configuration was exactly this, white with black subdials. That watch went on to sell last year for a world record price of nearly 18 Million USD. The watch is powered by the Valjoux 72B manual wind movement, and fitted with heavy Oyster Rolex bracelet ref 78350 with 357 end pieces.

This vintage classic has recently been fully serviced and is offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate timekeeping and operation. Also included is one of our beautiful handmade Italian leather watch travel pouches, a $45 value!
