Rolex Datejust stainless steel ref 1601, serial# 3.0 million circa 1971. Featuring 36mm diameter Oyster case with acrylic crystal and 14K WG fluted bezel, and very distinctive original silver satin “linen” dial with applied silver indexes and silver baton hands.
The dial is truly the standout here. The linen dials are not only incredibly rare compared to the other dial variants, but they are absolutely stunning, with subtle texture and grain. This example is in beautiful condition, and while marked T SWISS T, was produced without luminous dots adjacent to the applied markers.
The watch is powered by the calibre 1570 self winding movement with date. With period Rolex rolled link Jubilee bracelet with original early style deployment clasp. Great looking, and really a standout, vintage man’s model. Recently fully serviced by one of our veteran watchmakers, and accompanied by our 1 year warranty of accurate timekeeping and operation.
