A very attractive vintage Rolex stainless steel Datejust ref 1601 with original “Rolex blue” dial. Featuring a 36mm diameter Oyster case serial # 3.3 million circa 1973 with 14K WG fluted bezel, acrylic crystal and screw down Oyster crown. With an original blue T SWISS T dial with applied silver indexes, contrasting white printing on the dial, with intact warmly patina’d tritium lume dots, and with original matching lume silver baton hands. The dial is in remarkably fine condition, especially for blue dials of this era which are very prone to fading and paint deterioration. The lume plots are fully intact and have aged to a very pleasing warm straw color.

Powered by self winding caliber 1570 chronometer rated movement with non quick set date and sweep seconds. With period Rolex stainless steel rolled link jubilee bracelet with deployment clasp. A clean and appealing classic vintage man’s model or oversized for a woman.

NOTE: There is some minor corrosion of the metal between the lugs at 6 o’clock which can make the serial # a bit hard to read, but all the numbers are readable and have not been altered or re-engraved.
