Rolex stainless steel Datejust scarce reference # 1600 with smooth bezel and original linen dial circa 1971. A truly stunning vintage example model featuring a great looking, original pie pan dial with finely textured “linen” surface, with applied silver indexes and hands, and with lovely contrasting tan patina’d luminous dots and hands.
This is the full size man’s 36mm diameter Oyster case, with screw down case back and screw down crown and original smooth bezel. Powered by self winding chronometer rated caliber 1570 with sweep seconds and date. Offered with your choice of fine leather, cordovan, or farm raised exotic skin strap from our large selection of straps. Recently serviced and lightly unpolished as acquired. Offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation.
NOTE: This model is particularly desirable in 2 respects; 1st the smooth bezel, which is a characteristic uniquely of the 1600 case reference, and secondly, the popularity of the especially beautiful original gray pie pan dial. A great watch with rich and distinctive character!
