A fine condition and particularly stunning example Rolex 18K YG ref# 1803 Day Date President circa 1977. This the full size man’s 36mm diameter model with acrylic crystal, 18K YG fluted bezel, and stunning original champagne “Fat Boy” pie pan dial. With Spanish language date wheel, and with excellent condition South American contract 18K YG open clasp Presidential bracelet.

The original dial is signed T SWISS T and features the popular wide applied gold baton indexes with lovely lightly patina’d golden luminous dots and with original matching wide tritium lume gilt hands. We find that the so called “Fat Boy” dial configuration with broad markers and hands are unusual and especially favored on these vintage Day Date models.

The case of this watch is in especially minty condition and appears to have been well cared for. With beefy, very lightly polished lugs, a sharp fluted bezel that has not been overly polished. The case back and case back grooves and back of the lugs all are in very fine condition.

Powered by self winding calibre 1565 movement with non quick set day and date. The watch was recently serviced is in excellent operating condition. It is being offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation.

NOTE “Fat Boy” The dial indexes and hands are the wider and heftier than typically found on these models. Most sellers refer to this configuration as “wide boys,” but we (with no disrespect) affectionately refer to them as “Fat Boy” markers.
