Rolex 18K rose gold dress model featuring highly stylized French made case circa post war 1940’s. Featuring 31 x 40mm case with fluted hooded lug design, stepped glass crystal, and beautifully restored pink satin dial with printed black Roman figures and black baton hands. Very distinctive and sharp condition dress model, just fully serviced by one of our veteran watchmakers and offered with a 1 year warranty of accurate timekeeping.
NOTE: During the immediate post WWII era, special highly stylized cases were produced to house Rolex and other fine watch movements, in part to protect the French jewelry industry. The current watch is an exquisite such example, and one which we have never seen before. The case back bears the case ref # 2283 as well as a deeply stamped French eagle head hallmark.
