A fine condition example Rolex Oyster Perpetual “Bombe” model 14K YG ref # 1011 circa 1961. Featuring a 32 x 40mm Oyster case with bowed and turned lugs, fluted bezel, acrylic dome style crystal and stunning original dial.
The bombe style case with its pronounced and curved lugs is arguably one of the most attractive vintage Oyster case designs from Rolex. The Bombe case design can be found with various reference #s from the later 1950’s until the early 70’s, but the early models like the current example are the most desirable with their distinctive dial indexes and tapered gilt dauphine hands. The current example boasts an all original dial now patina’d a warm matte champagne color. With applied oversized gold arrowhead indexes, original aged lume plots and tapered dauphine hands.
This example is powered by Rolex calibre 1560 self winding movement with sweep seconds. Recently serviced and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. The inner lugs show wear perhaps from the watch being fitted at one time with a gold bracelet, though hidden by the strap and not visible on the wrist. The case ref# and serial # show wear, but all numbers are readable.
Photo’d on one of our high quality finely stitched vegetable dial leather straps, or your choice of fine leather or exotic skin strap. Your purchase includes one of our popular handmade Italian leather watch travel pouches, ideal for travel and storage, a $65 value!
