Rare Jaeger Lecoultre stainless steel Polaris II circa 1970s with “cranberry” bakelite bezel and dial. This is a large and scarce diver’s model, more typically found with turquoise blue bezel and dial. There is also a gray bezel model, but we are not big fans of the more drab colors of that version. The current example features rich and beautiful dark cranberry colors with contrasting antique luminous indexes and hands and a warm patina to the center silver disk.

Featuring a self winding calibre 916 movement with sweep seconds and date. Signed JLC crowns for setting the date and time and the alarm function. With the original style NSA smooth and brushed finish bracelet with folding clasp.

A beautiful and striking looking, rarely seen model. Substantial in size an eye catching color and design, all make for a very big impact on the wrist.
