A stunning vintage Omega Seamaster automatic case ref# 2976-2 circa 1958. Featuring a 34.5 X 43mm steel and gold case with screw down back and lovely original matte silver dial with gold applied indexes, applied Omega logo and tapered gold hands. With contoured stylish lugs, signed Omega crown. deeply embossed Seamonster logo on case back. and with original 2 tone rice link bracelet with ratcheting adjustable Omega embossed logo clasp. The bracelet comfortably fits a 7 1/4″ wrist with the ratcheting clasp fully closed.
Powered by Omega caliber 501 self winding movement with sweep seconds. Recently fully serviced and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation.
If it is not obvious from the photos, this is an amazing condition watch that shows very little time on the wrist in its 55 year lifetime. With steel case and gold bezel showing little or no wear, sharp and deeply defined die struck Omega case back logo, tight, non stretched rice bracelet, sharp brush finish clasp, shiny applied markers. Indeed everything about this watch save for some surface corrosion to the hour and minute hand speaks to a superbly preserved specimen. This watch came to us from a small collection of watches from the family of the original owner, each in exceptionally fine condition. Interestingly, we acquired a 2nd example of a nearly identical Seamaster model, each one a prize!
