Omega Premoon Speedmaster ref. 105.003 “Ed White” circa 1964. A beautiful example of the exact model Speedmaster worn by the famed astronaut Ed White on his history making space walk. The watch features a 39mm stainless steel case with straight lugs, and screw down hippocampus logo caseback. With a beautiful matte black stepped dial, showing off some darkly aged tritium markers, and the correct applied metal Omega logo. Popping off the dial are the tritium hands, having aged to a slight cream color. The piece also shows off a couple of slightly hard to find, original, components. The base 500, dot over 90 bezel, and the absolutely wonderful 7912 bracelet with #6 end pieces. Powered by the ultra famous 321 calibre, recently fully serviced and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate timekeeping and operation.
This fantastic Ed White is accompanied by it’s original “Hecho en Mexico” Omega box and owes some provenance to Mexican president Dias Ordaz who presented this watch in 1964 to renowned soccer player Horacio Casarin. Truly a spectacular piece, one that would fit both the most particular collection, and the Speedmaster newcomer.
