Featuring a checkerboard pattern dial with alternating “faux” lapis and tiger’s eye squares and signed Lucien Piccard in the bottom right of the dial.

Powered by 17 jewel manual wind movement set with a blue cabochon crown. With wide blunt gilt minute and hour hands and without subseconds. Recently serviced and detailed offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation.

The bezel is secured to the case back with 2 pins at the 12 0’clock side and by 2 screws at the 6 o’clock side which are concealed by the watch strap. The watch is fitted with a 19mm fine leather dark blue strap that complements the lapis blue color of the dial.  Free of any case back personalized engraving. A striking and distinctive modernist design for a man, or oversized for a woman.

Background on Lucien Piccard: Lucien Piccard company was founded in 1923 in Switzerland and has been producing both inexpensive and precious metal jewelry and watches since then. Many of their trademark designs included calibrated synthetic ruby and sapphires stone set around the perimeter of their pieces. While LP is not a prestige brand in the world of collectible vintage watches, we are quite keen on the some of their “kitch” modernist designs, including the current example which we have never encountered before.
