Vintage military Longines with stainless steel back stamped USN BUSHIPS, chromium plated top with beautiful condition original dial circa 1940’s. Featuring 33 X 41mm diameter case, with screw down caseback, heavy, down turned lugs, and very pleasing original silver satin dial with a warm patina’d champagne glow. With painted, luminous filled numbers and a black outer minute track, and luminous filled blued steel hands.
The case back features an engraving that reads “USN BuShips”, indicating a U.S. Navy issue watch. The US Navy’s Bureau of Ships was in operation from 1940 to 1966.
