A handsome special limited edition model 18K YG Longines dress model with skeletonized movement and display balance circa 1994 complete with box and papers. Featuring a 32mm diameter case with fine engine turned bezel, sapphire crystal, and gold dial celebrating the 1200th anniversary of the founding of Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan in 794. The back of the case features a sapphire crystal displaying the gold plated finely skeletonized 18 jewel manual wind caliber L396 movement with the outer rim commemorating the event and engraved #49 of a limited edition.
Besides the rich commemerative history this watch celebrates, this is an especially handsome Calatrava style gold dress model in with an intriguing “peek-a-boo” window at 6 o’clock which displays the skeletonized escape wheel ticking away and the subsidiary seconds hand. This watch includes the original wooden presentation box, original warranty card, original serial #d Longines hang tag, and Longines instructional booklet. The strap is an unsigned exotic skin strap with the original plaque Longines buckle.
