Longines Conquest Deluxe 18K YG ref # 9021-12 circa mid 1960’s. A scarce and especially fine condition example of a stunning mid century design from Longines. Featuring a 35mm diameter case with wide sloped bezel and heavy 43mm lugs. With a gorgeous original 2 tone champagne dial with faceted perimeter, inner gold applied indexes and syringe style gold hands.

The dial features the applied Longines winged hour glass logo and reads Longines Conquest Automatic and SWISS. There are 3 stars subtly appearing on the dial which we believe reflect the “Deluxe” designation of this model. The dial is a beauty, and this early version without a date window at either 3 or at 12, sets it apart from later versions and from the more recent reissues.

Powered by self winding caliber 290 movement with sweep seconds. With heavy screw back case with deeply embossed logo depicting the roaring ocean and night sky, with fully intact rich blue enamel. With original oversized domed gold Longines logo crown.

NOTE: The Longines Conquest models of the 1950s and 60s were a rival to the more well known Omega Seamaster and Constellation models. They shared a similar tier in the marketplace; practical, attractive, models for every day or dress, featuring self winding movements and dustproof and “moisture” proof screw back cases. The Conquest models featured heavier, more robust cases and with the exception of the first generation pie pan constellations, had more pronounced and dramatic dial features than the Omegas. Needless to say, we have always been big fans of the early Conquest models and are proud to offer this rare and fine condition example.
