A great looking vintage military style Longines circa 1952. Featuring a robust design 31 x 39mm case with extended straight lugs, rounded snap back case, and with military inspired features to the dial. The original SWISS signed dial features oversize luminous Arabic indexes, prominent railroad minute track for easy reading of the 5 minute and seconds, inner 24 hour printed hours, and luminous pencil style hands. The watch is powered by Longines caliber 12L manual wind movement with sweep seconds.

The American made L & K gold filled case is in unusually good condition, suggesting limited use. The case shows no “brassing” on the lugs or case back edges, no bent or chewed up lugs, and retains what appears to be the original oversize winding crown. The matte silver dial is unusually clean with minor evidence of aging. The printing is all especially sharp, the arabic numerals retain the original radium lume, while there is some loss of the original radium lume on the hands. All the lume is original and no attempt has been made to restore it. The movement serial # of 8.8 million corresponds to production date of 1952. While there are no military case markings to this model, the design suggests a civilian version of a military model.
