Vintage Longines man’s 14K white gold domed rectangular case model circa 1920’s. Featuring a classic design 26 X 40mm case with wide sloped bezel, flanking the dramatic dial, and with wide lugs which extend the long profile of the case. The bezel is domed with a curved crystal for a to conform to the curvature of the wrist. The original matte silver dial has developed a rich and pronounced colorful patina. The dial features original luminous arabic numerals and luminous cathedral style hands.

This classic vintage model is powered by the manual wind caliber, 10.26 movement with subsidiary seconds. Note on the history of this era of design. 30 plus years ago in the early days of vintage watch collecting in the U.S., the classic long, rectangular shaped case was the iconic style of vintage watch collecting. The 1920’s and 1930’s oversize rectangular case design was the popular and leading design of Patek Philippe, Vacheron & Constantin, Longines, Movado, and other fine Swiss makers. Today, round and cushion shaped cases have become more favored. The current example Longines, features a particularly heavy and robust case, and is recommended as a particularly fine example of this era.
